at the age of fourteen. watching the interview with the vampire film, then immediately plunging into anne rice's novels. particularly louis de pointe du lac represented exactly how i have felt my entire existence. i have never felt or been treated as human, and always knew i was something else. sampled my own blood and felt a rush unmatched, having a constant dull ache for this sustenance in its wake. that was the proverbial climax of my awakening.
