Being a donor within the VC is not as common as people think, the number of willing donors are very slim. There are also not many resources specifically designed for donors, which Project V aims to address by working on our donorship section.

The difference between a Donor and a Black Swan

While the two can iterchangeably be one in the same but there are two differing factors that separates the two. A Donor is someone who consents to being a donor to vampyres by donating their life force, in other words blood and or energy. While black swans support the vampyres differently by not engaging in donoring for vampyres. They may advocate and support their local or online vampyre communities.

The ongoing issues with having donors within the VC.

There has been a history of abuse of donors and vampyres in donorships. This is when ethical codes are thrown out the window or unintentionally broken. Like any relationship it isn't always sunshine and rainbows, sometimes you can end up in a donorship that is purely toxic and manipulative. This is why it is recommended to not rush into these donorships and build a mutual understanding of all parties intentions. You can be surprised how many people who claim to be donors even tho they haven't even been in the VC for more than 24hrs. I can understand being curious but overall, this can be extremely harmful to everyone. I have gone into farther detail via one of my blog posts.
