What's one thing that is a favorite about your own expression in finding yourself, in the vampire community? This can be anything, being as small as daily habits you've picked up, fashion or aesthetics you like, or bigger things like finding your place in the world, or how you see the world around you in general. Anything goes, it is what matters to you!

Had a good time with what amounted to a family reunion the other night, but woke up a bit less than good health. Planning a chill recovery day.
For a pretty long while I've called myself the opposite of a vampire. The joke was always that the sun keeps me energized and I'm scared of blood. Lately after learning more about the real vampire community I've wanted to turn this concept into a real thing. What if there are vampires that actually feed off the sun instead of being allergic to it? The only reason they don't want to be in direct sunlight is because it's too overpowering to them and causes discomfort.
I've always called myself a Solar Goth for the last couple of years So this really fits in with my whole aesthetic. Solar goth is like a light version of Cyber Goth. It's utopian instead of dystopian and it has Solarpunk flair as well.
My dream is if the idea of solar vampires actually caught on is I could create a vampire house for them…
The sun is huge, both figuratively and literally, lol. It contributes SO much energy to the living things on this planet, and we'd all be sunk without it.
In my experience light is a lot of stimulation, whereas dark is peaceful and comfortable. That said, I have built up my sun tolerance over the years because I want to be less of a shut in. I thank the sun for growing my window flowers and have a healthy respect for both the sun and the screen when I kayak during the day.
It's possible some people need sun exposure more than others. I think most vampires probably don't get a healthy amount tbh, but I get it. Supplements are important too.
So I used to be a member of the VCMB (Vampire Community Message Boards) but after a decline in usership, I check back one day after not visiting for a couple of years, and it's just all gone.
Wondering if any of the folks here came from over there or if there are any names I'll recognize. I lost access to the discord acct I used for those boards too, and have had trouble recovering it.
