The similarities between Sang and Psi vampyres are largely based on their nature as vampyres and the shared need to feed. They both intake their respective substances to meet a need within themselves and usually calm the symptoms that come with not feeding. They both have ethics that are followed to ensure the safety of both the vampyre and the donor. They both have some internal logic into how and why they feed.
The differences between Sang and Psi vampyres are their methods and needs for feeding and often differences in that internal logic for why they feed. Sang vampyres feed on physical blood, and while there are different perspectives on whether they are feeding on the energy in the blood or simply the blood itself, Sang vampyres typically have a more physical tether to their feeding and are often but not always approaching feeding from a more medically oriented perspective. Psi vampyres feed on energy itself and often approach feeding from a more metaphysical or spiritual perspective. Some ethics are universal among all kinds of vampyres, but the differences in feeding styles can create some differences in the necessary ethics involved in that particular kind of feeding, such as physical safety standards for drawing blood or spiritual safety standards for drawing energy.
